hiatus

decided to get my brain back in the game yesterday by re-kerjiggering that cowboy drawing i wasn't happy with. way better composition imo, lot more movement in it. safe.

off to the lake district now to take some photomographs!

Costa Foundation poster

Working on a poster for a local Costa Foundation  charity event! A 10 mile barefoot walk (absolute madman, but it's for a good cause!) inspired by John Mary Kyalanyi who walked 17 kilometers with his mother to see the Headmaster of Onwards & Upwards School, Uganda. John told the headmaster he wanted an education more than anything else, but his parents were far too poor to pay the tuition fees. The headmaster was moved by his commitment & confidence and invested in John's future via the schools bursary scheme.

Might doodle a couple of footprints on that pathway though...

It's called "Mike Beet: Sore Feet", mikebeet being the name of the guy doing the walk. I thought of the name,  which was a (rare) stroke absolute genius by me... ;) heh heh. PEACE

Just kidding! There is no good news. There's never good news. Only shit news.

Here is a tiny selection of the massive amount of receipt paper doodles I' remove from my work trouser pockets before putting them in the washing machine. I never get time to finish my receipt paper doodles....customers always interrupting. Bastards. Will post more when I find them lurking around.

Illustration du Reportage, deuxieme partie!

Well these images seem to have uploaded themselves in reverse order. The last image is the coverpage.
This brief entailed reporting the deconstruction (or destruction) of an object. I chose an old funky radio.

Illustrations taken from a 26 page book I made recently. The brief was to document a collection of objects and create a catalogue. I documented a selection of horribly creepy old porcelain figurines and catalogued their horrid creepiness. For the first book I've ever made it turned out way better than I had anticipated; for once I didn't get sticky finger prints everywhere, I didn't crinkle all of the pages and I didn't slice myself or any of the pages up badly with a scalpel!
